What Is Psychedelic Cannabis?
Cannabis can be psychedelically potentiated by certain growing, aging, blending, and mixing techniques. When such a blend is used in a guided setting with intention, ceremony, and reverence, the cannabis experience is a powerful yet gentle gateway to transformation, for ourselves and for society. Our clients commonly report experiences that are as potent and psychedelic as MDMA, Psilocybin, Ayahuasca and even DMT.
Who's It For?
- Experienced psychonauts who are curious about psychedelic cannabis and want to experience it.
- People new to psychedelics who want to journey with a powerful and safe medicine.
- People who have tried traditional therapies and have not been satisfied with the results.
- People who are suffering from depression, PTSD, anxiety, trauma, and feelings of meaninglessness.
- People who want to be trained to safely hold space for others on the healing path.
- People who believe in the power of psychedelic medicines to heal trauma on an individual and societal level and want to be part of a larger community that is working towards that goal.
Set, Setting & Skill
Most in the psychedelic community know the concept of “set and setting,” which refers to having the right mindset and the right setting in which to take psychedelic journeys. But what’s missing from this equation, in our estimation, is skill. Journeyers are often not taught how to navigate these experiences, so they are at the mercy of the medicine.
At Finally Detached, we teach people how to work with the medicine: to breathe, to focus, to stay present during difficult experiences, to surrender when that’s what’s called for, to engage with the spirit of the plant, and to manifest and integrate after the journey. With these skills, healing happens faster and more effectively.

Who Our Clients Are?
A majority of our clients work with us virtually or in person. Their psychedelic experience ranges from being a complete novice to being psychedelic guides themselves. Many are entrepreneurs or highly skilled professionals. But they also come from all walks of life. A lot of my clients have an existing mindfulness practice or are interested in learning more about incorporating mindfulness into their lives with the use of alternative medicine therapies. I also work with a lot of people who have retired and are ex military. We are deeply honored to work with the people we do.
What The Psychedelic Experiences Are Like?
The cannabis medicines we work with are very unique spirits, and part of their uniqueness comes from the ability to “shapeshift” into other medicine experiences. We often describe it as a morphing psilocybin and MDMA experience, or an Ayahuasca experience with the emotional support of MDMA. But there is also something that just lives within cannabis. We call it the “somatic psychedelic” because it is so healing for our bodies as well. A full session is generally 5-6 hours for psychedelic cannabis with about a 3.5-hour journey experience. We may also have an assistant facilitator present, especially with groups, to provide extra support for you, and to also train the next generation of psychedelic therapists and guides. We recommend a two to three session series to get the most out of the experience. The process from one day to the next doesn’t repeat, it continues, often to full resolution. It is difficult to describe how powerful these experiences can be. Visit these pages on Psychedelic Cannabis to learn more about what to expect.
What Makes A Psychedelic Cannabis Blend?
But Seriously, Cannabis Can’t Do What You Are Claiming…Right?
The answer is pretty simple. We stumbled upon one of the biggest secrets in the psychedelic community, one that very few people know about. Maybe we just collectively forgot how to use cannabis skillfully. Cannabis is a classic psychedelic. Most people associate Psychedelic Cannabis trips with eating too many edibles and getting sick, having panic attacks, and tripping really, really hard. Afterwards they rightly think, why in the world would I do that again? But this common experience proves, even if it was a “bad trip,” that it was a “trip” nonetheless. If you’re new to the psychedelic paradigm, it really makes some sense to test the waters a bit before flying to Peru for your first ever ayahuasca experience. If you’re an experienced psychonaut, come try something new. If you’re concerned it won’t be strong enough, we’ll offer you a second pipe… and a third. Let’s see how far we can take it. Cannabis is one of the safest substances on the planet.
A few things we can say are this: most skeptics come out of the experience completely surprised by the intensity of the trip, sometimes even veteran psychonauts say it was the most intense psychedelic trip they have ever had. Ayahuasca practitioners and DMT folks regularly say it was just like ayahuasca and DMT. From our experience, we can say that it starts like an MDMA experience, then it morphs into a psilocybin experience. A very significant number also state that they experience ayahuasca-level and DMT-level trips, especially if we add certain breathwork practices. We are becoming more and more convinced that cannabis used skillfully may be as effective as MDMA in treating PTSD. We have had Psychedelic Cannabis experiences that were indistinguishable from MDMA, psilocybin, LSD, peyote, ayahuasca, N,N-DMT, and even 5-meo-DMT. Cannabis is a shapeshifter medicine as much as anything else. The primary difference is that journeyers keep their agency, meaning they can navigate the experience more skillfully, and with greater ease, and they can pause the experience if it gets overwhelming. Very few people feel the need to purge. We have a lot to learn from this humble medicine. The pot most of us are familiar with is just not the cannabis we have available now. It’s hard to describe the magical potency and variety of cannabis strains that we now take for granted. This program was developed because we now have access to the cleanest, best cannabis ever grown.
Again, we’d love to share it with you.

Your Body And Psyche Are Safe With Us
Holding appropriate professional boundaries is part of the healing experience and we take this seriously. Touch is always non-sexual and only provided if requested. I have training as a Reiki practitioner and I’m conscious of what appropriate touch really means. I will also keep you physically safe and will be with you during the entire experience. I know how to handle mental health crises and unruly spiritual awakenings. You can request an assistant at the time of scheduling of any gender you are most comfortable with. They will be part of the entire process with us.
Music To Support The Psychedelic Cannabis Experience
Music is extremely important in these experiences. We have the skill to DJ a music set that is specifically made for you in the journey to match the needs of your experience. We have a few samples of these online and I can provide the playlist for you to go back to any time after your experience with me.
Educational Opportunities - Ask Questions
My goal is to make myself obsolete. This time is your time and you are invited to ask questions and to share your experiences. We can talk about micro-dosing harm reduction education, preparation, intention, integration, and general psychedelic journeywork skill sets so you can take the experience back home with you. I’ll teach you exactly how to make the cannabis blends if you are interested, and how to set up your own space for healing and transformation. With direct experience of what is possible, you’ll be set to do your own healing and waking up work in the comfort of your own home. We can continue the practice through video sessions as we’ve found these to be quite potent. These are difficult times for many of us. The world is getting pretty wild and a lot of people are waking up to the fact that something needs to shift. These experiences help us heal our old wounds, so that we can be resilient and persevere, and even enjoy these radical times and future tribulations ahead.
